Mamma Knows – Birth & Postnatal Doula
Antenatal Education, Birth Support & Postnatal Support – A range of support centred around YOU. Prepare to breastfeed workshop, practical support at home, a listening ear, breastfeeding support, finding your ‘village’, emotional wellbeing, understanding your pelvic floor, understanding sleep, Introducing solid foods etc. You may find a one-off consultation is all you need, alternatively you may prefer some regular support.Find me on the Website, follow my Facebook Page for helpful tips & links, & look me up on the The Doula Directory

- Breastfeeding Peer Support Group – There are 7 weekly groups running across North Somerset. All the volunteer peer supporters are Mums who have breastfed & undertaken Accredited training to provide Information & Support. Cafe Mamma runs weekly in Portishead. They can support you at their weekly drop in, they also run antenatal ‘Bumps Sessions’, & can support you by phone or on their Facebook group.

Ali Burlingham – Women’s Wellbeing
Ali is a woman’s health specialist who has over five years experience in the pregnancy and postnatal field, centred around women’s wellbeing. Her fun Hypnobirthing classes can be taken either 1-2-1 or in a group, she offers refresher courses too. As a Holistic Core Restore coach her Post Natal Health classes focus on helping to return back to exercise safely, working from the inside out! Cafe Mamma Breastfeeding Support – Bumps Session
Sessions run by trained Breastfeeding Peer Supporters (all local mums). It includes what to expect in those early weeks, tips on feeding while out & about & lots more. No need to book, just turn up & please bring your partner or friend with you. We discuss what self-help measures will reduce any discomfort. You’ll learn what to do if your baby is choking. As a Holistic Core Restore coach Ali offers a Post Natal Health course that is designed to improve your core strength and pelvic floor, which is the best way to set up a lifetime of good pelvic health. The comprehensive 6 or 12 week programme is designed for all women (from pregnancy through to postnatal period and beyond) who want/need to work on their pelvic floor, core and overall health in a functional exercise programme. Each class, within the course, has an educational element to it covering nutrition to aid recovery, how to gain 10 minutes me time through to practical ways to continue the good work at home. An educational booklet, kit and online portal are all included. Courses are being held at Walnut Grove clinic, in Portishead, on a Tuesday evening or a Wednesday morning and the class sizes are no larger than 8 ladies so everyone can get the attention they deserve. .

Pilates Fit Portishead
I am pre and post-natal qualified and run 6-week postnatal Pilates courses throughout the year.
My postnatal courses include a strong focus on strengthening core and pelvic floor after having a baby, as well as helping to improve posture and flexibility.
Babies are welcome to join you at my postnatal classes and class sizes at kept small to provide plenty of space and allow for feedback and support.
We always check for abdominal separation at the start of a postnatal course and I include exercises to help close abdominal separation if it exists.
I also offer private classes at my home studio or your own home.
Yoga Glow Studio Pregnancy Yoga is all about nurturing and strengthening you and your baby during pregnancy. It will help ensure a relaxing and comfortable pregnancy, release any discomforts and help prepare you for childbirth. It’s also about creating a bond between you and your baby that you can take with you into parenthood.Classes are friendly and informal and suitable to everyone from 14 weeks gestation, whether you have done yoga before or not. Everyone who comes will be at a different stage in pregnancy and with different symptoms so I aim to make my teaching as tailored as possible to the individual.

Daisy Baby Tinies & Wrigglers
Daisy Baby Tinies – (around 6 wks to 4/5 months) Our fourth trimester mum and baby class helps you enjoy a safe and supported first few months. We incorporate baby massage, baby yoga, postnatal movement and baby care education. It is a small, relaxed and informal group where you can find your way amongst friends. Daisy Baby Wrigglers – (4/5 months to 10 months) A weekly class for mum and baby to help you learn how to use a variety of tools such as baby massage, baby yoga, rhythm, rhyme, story and sensory experiences. These will help support your baby’s development, your connection and you will also have fun together! This is a time full of firsts and smiles for you both and these classes are all about enjoying this precious time with your little one amongst friends.
