- Breastfeeding Peer Supporter – find them at your local Breastfeeding Support Group – In North Somerset they are all volunteer Mums who have breastfed & undertaken Accredited training to provide Information & Support. See Cafe Mamma to find how they can support you at their weekly groups, with their monthly antenatal ‘Bumps Session’, & phone or online support.

Ali Burlingham – Women’s Wellbeing
Ali is a woman’s health specialist who has over five years experience in the pregnancy and postnatal field, centred around women’s wellbeing. Her fun Hypnobirthing classes can be taken either 1-2-1 or in a group, she offers refresher courses too. As a Holistic Core Restore coach her Post Natal Health classes focus on helping to return back to exercise safely, working from the inside out! Cafe Mamma Breastfeeding Support – Bumps Session
Sessions run by trained Breastfeeding Peer Supporters (all local mums). It includes what to expect in those early weeks, tips on feeding while out & about & lots more. No need to book, just turn up & please bring your partner or friend with you. (parents attending the community midwives antenatal sessions are invited as part of their sessions, but all expectant parents are welcome to attend any Bumps Session).Click Here for dates
A weekly class for expectant mums to help you enjoy pregnancy, stay mobile, learn about your changing baby and body, and prepare for a confident birth. We take the best elements of pregnancy yoga, active birth and hypnobirthing and wrap all of these together alongside antenatal education. These classes are just as suitable for you second, third (or more) baby, as they are for your first. We also have a selection of workshops for you to attend with your birth partner, to give you space to prepare together. Dr Perks’ Poorly Poppets
We are a team of doctors & health visitors who run sessions for parents with children 0 to 2 years. We give advice on why this age group is often unwell. We discuss what self-help measures will reduce any discomfort. You’ll learn what to do if your baby is choking. I offer both Hypnobirthing & Spinning Babies classes. I believe that Hypnobirthing has improved birth for the vast majority of women BUT I think that potentially there is ‘room in the womb’ for a little more information. I would like couples to be aware of exercises that they can do before and during labour that can help balance the mothers muscles in her pelvis (pelvic floor) and so help the baby to navigate the mothers pelvis more easily.Click Here for more details on the website

Ali Burlingham – Women’s Wellbeing
As a Holistic Core Restore coach Ali offers a Post Natal Health course that is designed to improve your core strength and pelvic floor, which is the best way to set up a lifetime of good pelvic health. The comprehensive 6 or 12 week programme is designed for all women (from pregnancy through to postnatal period and beyond) who want/need to work on their pelvic floor, core and overall health in a functional exercise programme. Each class, within the course, has an educational element to it covering nutrition to aid recovery, how to gain 10 minutes me time through to practical ways to continue the good work at home. An educational booklet, kit and online portal are all included. Courses are being held at Walnut Grove clinic, in Portishead, on a Tuesday evening or a Wednesday morning and the class sizes are no larger than 8 ladies so everyone can get the attention they deserve. .

Pilates Fit Portishead
I am pre and post-natal qualified and run 6-week postnatal Pilates courses throughout the year.
My postnatal courses include a strong focus on strengthening core and pelvic floor after having a baby, as well as helping to improve posture and flexibility.
Babies are welcome to join you at my postnatal classes and class sizes at kept small to provide plenty of space and allow for feedback and support.
We always check for abdominal separation at the start of a postnatal course and I include exercises to help close abdominal separation if it exists.
I also offer private classes at my home studio or your own home.
Pilates in Practise
My classes are small informal and friendly, with a maximum of 10 people allowing for lots of individual attention where desired. Clients are encouraged to offer feedback and ask questions during the class. Yanley Court in Long Ashton offers a spacious & relaxing studio for classes. Babies are very welcome to accompany you to our Postnatal classes.

Specifically developed from birth to 3 months. Hello Baby Massage will introduce baby massage, baby exercise, baby reflexology, sensory integration and bonding activities.
Daisy Baby Tinies & Wrigglers
Daisy Baby Tinies – (around 6 wks to 4/5 months) Our fourth trimester mum and baby class helps you enjoy a safe and supported first few months. We incorporate baby massage, baby yoga, postnatal movement and baby care education. It is a small, relaxed and informal group where you can find your way amongst friends. Daisy Baby Wrigglers – (4/5 months to 10 months) A weekly class for mum and baby to help you learn how to use a variety of tools such as baby massage, baby yoga, rhythm, rhyme, story and sensory experiences. These will help support your baby’s development, your connection and you will also have fun together! This is a time full of firsts and smiles for you both and these classes are all about enjoying this precious time with your little one amongst friends.
