Help & Support:

Although being a parent is an amazing journey, we can’t expect it to be free from ups & downs.

The key is to ask for help whenever you need it.

Don’t sit at home worrying, don’t think you have to cope alone, don’t assume you are the only one who is in your situation.  We all need some extra help sometimes, whether it be a reassuring chat with a Health Visitor or long term assistance from a specialist.  Making the first move is the key to getting things back on track, so just do it!  Perhaps start by talking to someone you know.  They may be able to refer you, or advise you on what help would be best for you.  See our ‘Local Services’ section for details of GPs & Doctors, Community Midwifes, Health Visitors, & Childrens Centres.
