Ali Burlingham – Women’s Wellbeing

As a Holistic Core Restore coach Ali offers a Post Natal Health course that is designed to improve your core strength and pelvic floor, which is the best way to set up a lifetime of good pelvic health. The comprehensive 6 or 12 week programme is designed for all women (from pregnancy through to postnatal period and beyond) who want/need to work on their pelvic floor, core and overall health in a functional exercise programme. Each class, within the course, has an educational element to it covering nutrition to aid recovery, how to gain 10 minutes me time through to practical ways to continue the good work at home. An educational booklet, kit and online portal are all included. Courses are being held at Walnut Grove clinic, in Portishead, on a Tuesday evening or a Wednesday morning and the class sizes are no larger than 8 ladies so everyone can get the attention they deserve. .

Daisy Birthing

These active birth pregnancy classes help you to learn your antenatal education alongside yoga-based movement.  Birth can be such a positive experience when we have the tools, techniques and information to make the choices that are right for us.  From 14 weeks these classes are as suitable for subsequent babies as they are your first.  They are a warm and welcoming space to connect with other mums as you prepare to meet your baby.  We also offer couples antenatal workshops to learn birth preparation and practical baby care alongside relaxation and birth hypnosis. Dance Fun & Fitness with Nic

I teach Zumba, fun dance exercise & low impact aerobics classes . It is possible to have fun while exercising, just come to my classes & find out for yourself. You’ll get a great workout, but you’ll also leave with a smile on your face & a spring in your step.  Click Here for details

Functional Fitness @ Walnut Grove Studio

Gym studio using the latest equipment and training techniques. 1 to 1 Personal Training available. 25 min workouts are on a monthly membership basis Silver costs £35  and gives you 2 sessions per week Gold is £47 and gives you 3 sessions per week. Gordano Sports Centre

Gordano Sports Centre has been changing lives all over Portishead since we were established. We’re not a typical gym. At Gordano Sports Centre the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, perfect for those who just want to get fit without any ‘competition’. Unlike most sports centres Gordano Sports Centre is a small establishment that has a more customer-based approach. Pilates Fit Portishead

  • Do you want to improve your posture and flexibility?

If you said yes to any of these, then my group or private Pilates’ classes with small equipment could be the answer. You should leave my class feeling like you have worked, but also feel stretched, energised and ready for whatever your day throws at you. I am also pre and post-natal qualified and run 6-week postnatal Pilates course throughout the year. Babies are welcome to join you at my postnatal classes.

Pilates in Practise

My classes are small informal and friendly, with a maximum of 10 people allowing for lots of individual attention where desired. Clients are encouraged to offer feedback and ask questions during the class. Yanley Court in Long Ashton offers a spacious & relaxing studio for classes. Babies are very welcome to accompany you to our Postnatal classes.

Fitness Pilates My class numbers are kept to 12 people to promote a friendly and welcome atmosphere where attention to technique and individual needs can be met. There is a focus on connecting the mind and body to help with relaxation as well as providing an exercise session.
 
Personal training
A personal training block package includes a full consultation with tailored assessments to be able to identify goals and monitor progress towards these goals. 1-2-1 sessions are provided as well as an overall weekly plan that helps to identify opportunities for activity that fit in with your lifestyle and needs.
 
Ante and post natal I am ante and post natal qualified and can offer training for this on a 1-2-1 basis.

Portishead Running Club

We are a friendly local club, based at the Lakegrounds in Portishead who meet on Tuesday, Wednesday (ladies only – More Info here ) and Thursday evenings for jogging, running and some coaching. We meet at 6.50pm for a prompt departure at 7pm at the Hutch.
